There was a time, with version 1.13.3, when metadata lookup didn't work at all for new articles. I have found it more efficient to just add every entry manually and look up the DOI. Generally terrible at extracting metadata. Starts searching too quickly, so it searches your entire library for a single letter and slows everything down.Tags are created too quickly while typing.Takes 5-10 minutes to filter articles after initial app startup.Processes use inordinate amounts of CPU power.Started encrypting the database, making it difficult to import with Zotero.I used Mendeley for years before switching to Zotero. knitcitations was written by Carl Boettiger. You can delete the previous journals list In the new library, Tools -> define term lists. In the library with the terms you would like to export: Tools -> define term lists, select journals, click Export list.Note that terms lists are specific to each library.Moving terms (such as journal abbreviations) between libraries. You can edit the reference to match, or create a new term for the journal title as it appears in your downloaded references. If the titles are not the same (even if the same letters are not capitalized), EndNote will treat the journal name as a name that is not present in the terms list. The journal titles in your references must match exactly with the titles in your terms list.Sometimes journal titles are not abbreviated, even though I am using an output style that abbreviates them.Use the groups of references to guide you, and move them to the proper locations. The references were properly formatted, but out of place. Unformatted references can be deleted like regular text. This will format your bibliography, so be prepared.
